Sea Glass Jewelry

It is very calming to go the beach on walk or having fun with family and friends for swimming. Even on hot winter days going to the beach along the sea shore looking at the waves and the surfers are relaxing and stress free mind for a couple of hours.

As always going to the beach is fun to look for some sea treasures like beach pebbles with differents colors and patterns, sea/beach glass of different colors.  What is Sea Glass?... Sea glass are actually broken pieces of bottled drinks of beers, sodas, ceramics, and other glasswares of different kinds that are tumbled naturally by sea water, sand and pebbles for a very long time.  The more frosted and smooth it is means it stayed long in the water.  Sea glass can be found on the beaches and lakes wherever there is people in the area the possiblity of more sea glass can be found.   More and more people are collecting sea/beach glass not just as a hobby but the possibility of profitable hobby as well because of its ongoing popularity.

Crocheted Jewelry

For the past few weeks especially during the "Pesach Holiday" which is almost three weeks for school holidays and a time for me to play and make something new.  It always delight me the way crocheting works, the knits and waving technique and I know there are artisans that work and design only in knitting and crocheting especially in wire and I really love there work. Like a student I always  love to learn and know new technique from the past post I've design and made the crocheted wire bracelet in simple chain as I've search the youtube for more info about crocheting wire it makes me more determined to make more crocheted jewelry and it is all about manipulating wire with simple chain. Here is the tutorial link for the ring that I've found in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF5zNWonQp0 My finished design:                                    Silver plated crocheted wire ring wi...

Fused Copper Wire

One of my fears in making jewelry is the soldering technique as far as I can remember as a child I've seen my father's soldering materials and tools and how he manage to work those hot flames and I said "WOW" that's tough work.  Last year i bought a micro torch just in case I have the courage to try...in my mind I tried soldering like practicing it a hundred times and there's always the word "What If" every time I hold the torch then put it back.  I told my mother about the idea of soldering and she says "It will not happen until you try to make it happen".  Now for the first time in soldering using a micro torch as a starter I use raw copper wire to fuse, micro torch, fire brick, goggles, and a glass of water to cool off the hot wire and I was wondering since fine silver can be fused without flux maybe copper can be fused also in the same process.     After a couple of attempt to fuse copper wire finally I manage to make one bet...
